Who’s Erica B?
I’m Erica B, your average Baltimore babe out here living my best writer’s life. I’m both a writer and an unapologetic enjoyer. Give me those spicy sci-fi and romantasy books, baby. I live for the kind of stories that are full of dark fae princes, uninhibited alien lovers, and messy romances that make you wonder if you’re in heat (though it might be the perimenopause).
Writing them is half the fun, reading them is the other half, and somewhere in between is where I thrive.
I write because there are not enough beautiful brown women in romantasy. Let’s be real, if a Black woman is on the cover, the book won’t sell. That is some straight-up bullshit. I want to live in a world where a chunky, tawny-skinned babe with locs gets swept away by a hot fae prince. Because why the fuck not. It’s fantasy!
I grew up being told I was too fat to ever be a movie star, that I needed to straighten my hair to look “appropriate,” and that being loud and geeky was unacceptable. I was so far beyond the box my mom wanted me in that I ended up turning that box into a cage. For a long time, I hated myself. So much. My escape was crafting entire worlds in my head where someone like me could actually be the heroine.
Now I’m grown, still fat, still rocking my natural hair, and still silky brown skinned. The difference is I use storycrafting as a sword instead of a shield. I refuse to stay in anyone’s box, and I want other young women to see themselves as princesses and space warriors and messy heroines who get the guy, the girl, the monster, or whoever the hell they want.
For twenty years, I’ve been building Crimson, my supernatural soap opera full of fae, demons, and chaotic love. The first book, The Last Son of Danu, is finally finished. It still needs some reworking, but it’s the most “me” story I have ever written, which probably explains why it is so over-the-top wild.
Will I be the next big thing in this crowded genre? Hell naw. But I am here for the long haul, because writing is freedom. If you like your stories steamy, stabby, and a little off the rails, you are in the right place.
What’s Tales of Erotasy?
Tales of Erotasy is my home base for all things steamy and supernatural. It's where I share:
My monthly newsletter full of updates, spicy extras, and indie author shoutouts
The Tales of Erotasy podcast—where I talk writing, review saucy fantasy, and read excerpts from my stories
Weekly chapters of The Last Son of Danu, my dark urban fantasy romance about fae magic, forbidden hunger, and the chaos of wanting someone you maybe shouldn’t
Basically? If you like your fantasy a little filthy and your romance with bite, this is the spot.
